In the oeuvre of sculptor Tamás Baráz the love of stone materials and the machining of stone with virtuoso skills are coupled with a lean, austere, geometric language of design. This simplified expression is based on two experiences: the first is the cultural approach and the feedback to technical means and signals, and the other is the basic dilemma of sculpture, the research and plastic citation of philosophical dimensions of the statics.
Tamás Baráz, due to his tenacious and persevering work of philosophical-geometric sculptures, is lifted from the surprisingly strong "generation of thirty-somethings" amongst the most remarkable ones.
